Scenario #10

On afternoon we had an assembly. In the middle of it I looked up and saw a couple holding hands and I thought to myself, "Oh, isn'’t that cute?"” A few minutes later I looked up again and saw that the two were a little closer and now had their hands close to regions of each other’'s bodies that I felt were a little inappropriate. How do I approach the issue without drawing attention to them? Should I have told them to stop when I saw them holding hands?

Maybe as a class you can explain what are good and bad ways of showing affection in public, and remind them that if you see it you will probably have to say something.

I would most likely go up to the two students and just give them a look in which they would know that i'm asking them to stop. if there is room near them (in the bleachers or whatever) i would sit near them to make sure they don't get too close again.

I would go up to them and either sit between them or have them separate. Holding hands is one thing but then once hands start roaming you can get into some deeper issues.

Besides what anyone else says to do (which are all good ideas) I would come equiped with a little easy to hide water gun and squirt them until they stopped!
