Scenario 1
During class one day two students, who are known for their bad behavior throughout the school, get into a physical fight suddenly. There was brief arguing, but before the argument could be stopped the fight had begun. Not being an aggressive person, I don't know if I should get in between the two and stop the fight myself, and while calling for help is a must, it takes time for people to come.

Depends on the students. If these are two linebackers for the football team it would do no good, and would probably be more of a danger for you. At the same time you can't let them just fight. Hopefully there would be some large heavy teacher around that would have some weight to step in, perhaps across the hall.
One cna never let two kids just have at it. Even if they're bigger than you, you're still a teacher. You ight be surprised how effectively a five and a half foot woman can stare down a six foot man.
I think that the intercom would be a wonderful thing in this situation. It is a quick and easy access to the principal and possibly quicker help. But as said before never doubt how well a five foot woman can stare down a six foot man.
